Information Gathering
I'd like to do a series of polls to determine Claudia's best outfit. Stacey's too, eventually. However, I don't own all the books and I don't have the time to compile a comprehensive list of outfits. So if you guys can please do some detective work for me, that would be really helpful. Leave comments to this post with the book number the outfit comes from and the description of the outfit.

I know not every book featured outfits, though. If you come across a book with no outfits, again leave a comment with the book number and just say, "no outfits". Once every book is accounted for we'll begin those polls. I'll add this post to the memories so it can be easily found.

In the meantime, while this info trickles in (and I'll look up a few myself - I know there are outfits in #2, #71, and #91, all of which I own) we'll do polls to determine Best Mystery, by random pairings. What I'll do is randomly draw two mystery titles out of a hat and they'll face off. Those winners will then face off against each other, etc., but no more "which of these five" is best. That should make the voting last a little longer and be more interesting. I should be able to get the first poll up later today on my lunch break.

okay, THAT is a fun poll. i have this one typed up already from an old journal entry:

"...an oversized red blouse with black buttons, green leggings with white, tie-dyed streaks, and black high-top sneakers with all kinds of buckles and snaps on them. (The laces were untied, which I guess is the cool way to wear them. I’d be tripping over them all day, but Claud can pull it off.) Can you guess what her earrings were? Dangling watermelon slices. Get it? She was dressed like a watermelon, head to toe."

Let me go through all my snarks, I know there's outfits in those lol.

Ok, #68: Jessi and the Bad Babysitter:

For example, today she was wearing an oversized white shirt under a black vest covered with a design of shiny beads. (She sewed the beads on it herself). She wore neon green leggings and black ballet slippers (on which she'd sewn a matching bead design). From one of her pierced ears hung a dangling earring made from the same beads and on the other ear she wore a small green hoop earring.

The second outfit, worn while rollerblading - Claudia wore hot pink stirrup pants and a fuzzy pink sweater that made a nice contrast with her neon green pads and helmet.

Ok, here's the outfits from Mystery #19, Kristy and the Missing Fortune:
She was wearing this blue-and-green stripey shirt that was kind of tight and stretchy-looking. Over it she was wearing a really, really baggy pair of overalls. On her head was a floppy green hat, and on her feet were those big black clunky boots made by Doctor somebody.

Claudia's wearing black jeans, short black cowboy boots, and a black suede jacket with fringe along the back and arms and silver buttons that looked like those old Indian-head nickels.

Her last outfit is her infamous tuxedo, with a huge pink rose in the lapel. If you need the exact wording, I'll find my book buried here in my room somewhere lol.
