And the winner of Best Holiday Book is....
By a pretty sizable margin...

#17 - Mary Anne's Bad Luck Mystery!

Halloween is the most popular holiday in the BSC-verse and clearly the fans agree. :D

Next up, Worst Mystery. This one oughtta be fun, since the mysteries are pretty much universally despised. Hee.

Aw, I like a lot of the mysteries. But some of them are indeed pretty awful and I AM looking forward to that contest. The one I just started rereading -- Jessi and the Jewel Thief -- should undoubtedly be a contender. (I'm rereading all the books I remember that involve NYC.)

This made me look up the old Best Mystery contest because I'd completely forgotten what book won, but in the "results" post, it appears there's an image that doesn't work anymore, at least not for me right now. Although I can surmise from the comments that it's the one where Mary Anne learns that she lived with her grandparents after her mom died.

(But the real best mystery is the one where they work at the mall. For the record.)

Yeah, all the old image links are broken because Dibbly Fresh doesn't exist anymore. :( But you're right, the winner was M5 where MA learns about her grandparents. I too disagree with that because it seems like that book should have been part of the regular series instead of a mystery. I think my vote for best mystery is #11 - Claudia and the Mystery at the Museum. I know it's ridiculous and completely unrealistic, but it's always been my favorite for some reason! :D
